Drymen, Loch Lomond and the area surrounding Elmbank in Drymen

Drymen Square

Drymen Square

Drymen and the surrounding area offer an abundance of outdoor activities to suit everyone. Perfect for wildlife spotting and bird watching, photography, painting, water-sports, sailing, fishing, golf, horse riding, cycling, climbing and walking.

The shores of Loch Lomond are easily accessed from Balmaha, Sallochy and Rowardennan, all within 15 minutes travel from Drymen. Undoubtedly one of our biggest treasures, the Loch and its surrounding countryside provides the perfect setting for picturesque walks, boat trips, picnic's, BBQ's or even a dip in the water!

During the summer months there are a variety of festivals close by including the Luss Highland Games. Throughout July and August, Strathendrick Pipe Band plays in the village square every Thursday, occasionally accompanied by a Highland dancer.

As a visitor to the village you may access the Buchanan Arms Hotel's health club and spa. You will find there a large indoor swimming pool, sauna, spa, steam room, solarium, squash courts and fully air conditioned gymnasium. The Hotel has an in-house beautician, offering various treatments including massage, reflexology, facials and manicures.
