Booking terms and conditions at Elmbank in Drymen
Terms:
Check in time is after 4pm and before 6pm, late check-in is available with prior consent. We are always willing to welcome guests as early in the day as they wish, to uplift their keys before check-in time and leave any luggage or shopping in their accommodation. Guests must check out by 10am prompt on the day of departure.
Guests are obliged to leave everything in a clean and tidy condition, as it was on arrival. Used bed linen and towels should be placed in the baskets provide. If any items are accidentally broken or damaged guests must notify Proprietors. Should your property not be left in the condition you found it on arrival, Elmbank reserves the right to charge a cleaning fee of up to £150 and/or a damages fee up to replacement value.
The rates are per week or short break as agreed for the apartment booked.
Number of guests:
Bookings are accepted on the understanding that the number of people stipulated when the booking is made must not be exceeded, without prior approval from Elmbank. Under no circumstances should the number exceed the capacity of the accommodation as advertised.
Booking:
The payment of a deposit as cheque, postal order or cash and a card number given as a security deposit shall constitute an offer by the customer and a contract shall come into existence if and when Elmbank accept the booking by issuing a letter of confirmation.
Payment:
- When forwarding your booking confirmation an initial payment of 33% of the total booking cost must be enclosed as a deposit to secure your booking. This deposit is non-refundable and non-transferrable at the discretion of Elmbank.
- The balance of the cost of your holiday should be paid 6 weeks before arrival or if booking within 6 weeks of your holiday start date, payment should be made in full when making the booking.
- In the event of non payment on the due date Elmbank reserves the right to cancel the holiday booked and the initial payment will be forfeited. Reminders are not sent.
Cancellation:
Should you cancel your holiday after booking has been accepted by Elmbank, you will remain liable for the full cost of your holiday. Elmbank will seek to re-let the accommodation. If a re- let is obtained Elmbank will reimburse you for the full payment, minus your initial deposit, otherwise you will remain liable for the full cost of your holiday.
All claims must be notified immediately, in writing, to Elmbank and must be supported by documentary evidence. The decision of Elmbank in all claims is final. Guests are responsible for the arrangement of appropriate cancellation insurance. Elmbank does not provide any such insurance as part of the contract.
Electricity, Gas & Fuel:
Electricity & gas used shall be paid for at the end of your stay. Solid fuel used outwith the free quota supplied will be charges accordingly.
Minors:
Bookings from persons under 18 years of age cannot be accepted. Hen & Stag parties must notify Elmbank on booking and may be subject to a larger deposit.
Availability:
The booking is made on the understanding that the accommodation will be placed at your disposal on the date stated. Should this not be possible through events arising outwith our control, for example, fire, theft or damage - and which force us to cancel your booking, we cannot guarantee to provide an alternative accommodation, in which case your booking fee will be returned in full, but you will have no claim against Elmbank . In the interest of continued improvement Elmbank reserves the right to alter or delete amenities or facilities either advertised or previously available, without prior notice.
Disabled persons:
If you have a person in your party in a wheelchair or who is disabled, please tell us at the time of booking in order that we may advise whether our accommoation is suitable.
Personal Property, Vehicles and boats:
Accessories and contents are left at your own risk. Elmbank will not be held responsible for loss or damage thereto from any cause whatsoever.
Any shortcomings:
The person who pays the deposit and or signs the booking form is responsible for any damage done or loss sustained during your stay. Any damage or loss must be reported immediately to Elmbank, who will assess the damage. Guests will be liable to pay for any damage up to the value of replacement. Elmbank reserve the right to debit your credit/debit card, as given as a security deposit, for any damages or breakages, up to one calendar month after the date of departure. You are asked to notify any short comings in your lodge to Elmbank immediately, so that they can be remedied for you. No claim can be considered for shortcomings not so notified. No claims received by Elmbank out with the completion of your holiday can be considered.
We reserve the right not to hand over accommodation to any person/s who in our opinion is:-
- not suitable to take charge - in such case all hire monies will be refunded in full and the contract discharged or,
- not suitable to continue the holiday because of unreasonable behaviour, damage to property or annoyance to other holiday makers - in which case a proportionate refund of the period remaining will be made, and the contract discharged.
We also reserve the right to enter any accommodation under special circumstances or emergencies.
Accidents:
We will not be responsible for the death or personal injury to any persons. Note play equipment is used at guests own risk and should at all times be supervised.
Pets:
In the interest of other guests, and maintaining the hygiene of the accommodation and grounds, we do not allow pets to stay inside the apartments or anywhere on the grounds.
Smoking
Please note that in the interests of health and safety smoking is strictly prohibited inside the accommodation.
